Our technology is a specially constructed shipping container that uses CO2 as the refrigerant, replacing the expensive electromechanical systems that operate today. Food grade LCO2 is injected into a sealed overhead bunker and immediately transitions into dry ice. Dry ice sublimes as a cold dry vapor that completely envelopes the cargo, drawing heat from the cargo and cooling the cargo space to the appropriate temperature set-point. Our technology will fit insulated containers that are manufactured according to international standards for intermodal traffic. It is a passive, naturally refrigerated container, which so long as it remains closed, will hold a cargo temperature set-point for up to 26 days.
